The products illustrated in this catalogue refer to specific applications in the context of belt handling of bulk materials. The introductory technical section reserved for the “load capacity of steel rollers” has been partially rewritten for the introduction of new series and new types of rollers. The choice of type of roller to adopt and the calculation procedure for installation are carried out as extensively explained in the relevant sections of catalogue 2.1 “STEEL AND PVC ROLLERS FOR BELT CONVEYORS”.Each element that makes up the various rollers has been designed, realised and tested in a precise and meticulous way, without neglecting the smallest detail; the dimensional planes of each roller are in compliance with ISO standards. The production programme covered includes:
SHOCK ABSORBER ROLLERS
They consist of steel base rollers and special anti-abrasive rubber rings, pressure-mounted on the jacket. They are used in conveyors as upper rollers, to protect the rubber matting from the dynamic action of falling materials, in power stations and in the transfer of material to be conveyed.
SCRAPING ROLLERS
They consist of steel base rollers and special anti-abrasive rubber rings, or steel spirals, mounted on the jacket. They are divided into three main types of execution:- with spaced rubber rings; – with angular contact rubber rings; – with steel spirals. They are used in belt conveyors as lower rollers, for supporting the empty belt along the return branch, in handling systems for humid or sticky materials. They prevent material and water carried by the mat from adhering to the roller jacket and forming encrustations or ice formations such as to compromise the correct running of the conveyor.Rollers with spaced rings are available for flat stations with one roller and for “V” shaped stations with two rollers.Rollers with angular contact rubber rings or with steel spirals also develop a mat cleaning effect; the latter are used when the quantity of material to be removed is excessive or hot.
GARLAND SETS
They are available in sequences of 3 or 5 rollers with impact rings for upper stations; 2 rollers with spacing scraping rings for lower stations. They are used in conveyors with high loads and high speeds where greater capacity for containment and guidance of the conveyed material is required, as well as a substantial lightening of structures.
DRUMS
Command drums, return drums, drums for support, deviators and tensioner drums, in standard execution according to the ISO 1536 standard, or sized according to project data for the specific application.Drums with cylindrical or cambered jacket, bare or coated with rubber (hot-vulcanised or cold-glued) with a smooth surface, with rhomboidal or “chevron” pressings. The suitable cladding enables improvement of the coefficient of friction between belt and drum, facilitates the flaking of material carried by the mat and, towards the periphery of the drum, transfers the water and mud present to the cladding itself.
